Technology Website Evaluation

Technology in schools today- what a concept! As an experienced teacher that doesn’t have much experience at all with new technical jargon, like blogging and podcasts, I found a website that may make me jump right back into the 21st century era of today’s technology. It called www.techlearning.com and it is community web site that helps connect ordinary teachers like me with 21st century resources.
It’s wonderful because there are discussion forums, blogs, podcasts, technology tips of the day, sites of the day, and so much more! It is a great web site to use if you need strategies and ideas to keep up with how to use technology in the classroom to make learning exciting for your students. You can’t go wrong with this website. It even has access to videos and funny stories that you can probably relate to as a non-experienced technology person.
The only down side that I see to this web site is that it can be overwhelming. There is so much information that even after a couple of hours of looking around I still haven’t viewed it all. You will have to pick and choose what interests you. Also the main home page is a little busy. Every inch is covered with links, stories, and tips. You will just have to dive right in and find what you are looking for.
Overall it is a great web site with a wealth of information. It is easy to navigate through. You can also subscribe to Tech Learning magazine if you love this web site.
